Prayer Calendar

Our team is making a prayer calendar for Naples. It will have two specific prayer requests for Naples every month and there is also a photo to go with the requests.

Our hope for the calendar is people would know how to specifically pray for Naples and also that as people become more connected through prayer they would desire to volunteer in the city.

If you would like a calendar please let me know asap.

FYI

Everyone is somewhat on the mend. Lingering coughs and stuffy noses are all that are left, I think.
Praise that Cortney, Grace, and I still have not gotten sick.

Another box

We got yet another box yesterday! I love boxes. It’s like Christmas every time you get one because you never know what’s inside and sometimes you didn’t even expect to get the box! I love boxes, but I love any kind of mail unless it is a bill. Letters are great…very personal. Cards are equally as great. But I digress…

My other grandmother (aka Granny) sent Lily some great stuff. Have you ever seen onesies that cute?? I think not. There was a great little Christmas sleeper with matching hat that she will be wearing on Christmas Day and some wonderful little blankets. I’m told you can never have too many blankets. Lily says thank you to Granny for all the great clothes, blankets, and little doll.

P.S. Today I opened up a package of newborn diapers and I’ve decided THOSE are the cutest things I’ve ever seen, baby socks are second. But those teeny tiny diapers …. I about lost my mind over them. Can’t wait to have a teeny tiny person to put in them.

SICKNESS!

It’s going around. Some of the Worthy’s are sick with a cough and fever. This morning Jason and Emily and Paul came down with a cough and fever, and I am developing a cough. So far Grace and Cortney are ok. Please be in prayer for our team!

Lily’s Room

Several of you have asked if we’ve gotten Lily’s room ready. Well, it’s finally done (for the most part). We went to the store that shall not be named (but I guess you probably don’t know which store I mean….I’m talking about IKEA), and now Lily has a……

place to sleep,…

a place for her clothes and a fun teddy bear that her daddy bought in Austria,…

and an empty toy box. We’re going to start working on filling that up soon.

YEAH FOR PACKAGES

These are all the wonderful little clothes and socks and shoes and bows in a package we received a few days ago from my Aunt Harriet and Grandmomma (aka GG to her great grandkids). There are all kinds of cute little tiny people clothes. I got rather excited when I opened it up. So many thanks to Aunt Harriet and GG ( and my dad for mailing the package) for all the cute clothes!

Tiny little socks all in a row. I just couldn’t help myself. Really, is there anything cuter than baby socks?

This is Paul’s more artistic shot of the socks.

The first of the year

“What is that boiling brown stuff?” I can hear you all asking that question…Well, it’s some of the best stuff ever and comes when you marry someone born and raised in Louisiana….It’s gumbo, wonderful, delicious, lick your lips good, give me a second, third and fourth bowl gumbo.

Here’s the chef trying out his great concoction….Was it a success??

Thumbs up = yummy, yummy!!!

Bath time

While everyone was cleaning up after Micah’s birthday party (see previous post) Alessia decided to put soap on her baby so that she could bathe it.

You only turn 8 once

Yesterday was the celebration of Micah Worthy turning 8 years old! It was a grand ole time.
Apologies for the blurry photos. There are two reasons for this occurring 1) I (MacKenzie) took the pictures and 2) Blogger will not upload them in a high quality. I blame blogger more than myself.

“What? I didn’t put the balloon right in front of me.”

Micah’s yummy sugar cookie cake

Tres amigas (switched up the languages on you! HA! You never know what to expect!)

The birthday girl

I’ll telling you, this girl is designed for modeling.

The beautiful homemade pinatta that Charlie and kids spent hours making (Have NO idea how to spell pinatta)

The chaos after the beautiful, homemade pinatta was broken. Mass hysteria broke out. It’s like they had never seen candy!

House Calls

Yesterday afternoon as we sat playing a game with Jason and Emily our intercom buzzes, which is odd because the only time it ever buzzes is when we have a package and the mail had already run. Much to my delight it was my new friend Rita. Someone was coming to MY HOUSE!!! WHAT!! Was I dreaming??
Let me explain. After almost two years I can probably count on one hand how many times people come over to my just to “drop in”. I have to go to them, which is fine. However, there is something about someone coming to see you. It lets me know that Rita thought I was serious when I invited her over.
It was a little thing but it meant so very much that she came over for a little while.
